Comments:
The licensing inspector conducted an unannounced monitoring inspection from 9:50am - 11:45am. There were thirteen preschool children in care with three staff and one volunteer. The children were observed having morning snack, during circle time and playing in the centers. Five children's records were reviewed. Areas of non-compliance are identified on the violation notice. Violations:
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-280-B
Description: Based on observation, the center failed to have all hazardous substances stored in a locked place. Evidence: 1. The inspector observed the classroom. There were containers of paint stored in an unlocked cabinet.

Plan of Correction: The teacher locked the cabinet doors during the inspection.

Standard #: 22VAC40-185-540-C
Description: Based on observation, the center failed to have all required first aid supplies in the first aid kit. Evidence: 1. The inspector observed the first aid kit. The kit did not contain antiseptic cleansing solution or pads.

Plan of Correction: The teacher contacted the central office during the inspection and requested antiseptic cleansing solution.
