A Subsidy Health and Safety monitoring inspection was conducted on 9/17/2018 to review supplemental health and safety requirements. This inspection began at 10:35am and ended at 2:15pm. There were 11 staff with 47 children in 7 classrooms at the time of the visit. At the start of the inspection, children were observed playing freely, eating lunch and getting ready for nap time. Children's files, emergency preparedness procedures, fire drill log were reviewed. The physical plant and playground were inspected. There were no medications on site at this time. A licensing inspection was also conducted on this date; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. Violations were found during the supplemental subsidy health and safety inspection requirements and are identified on the violation notice. Thank you for your cooperation today. Standard #: VENDSUB-000-012-B Description: Based on record review, one staff member did not complete the Virginia Preservice Training for child care staff. Evidence: Staff #4 (date of hire: 9/25/2017) file did not contain documentation of the Preservice training. Plan of Correction: We will have the staff member complete the training.
