Comments:
An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted today from approximately 2:40pm-4:20pm. There were 29 children in the direct care and supervision of 3 staff. A sample of 5 children?s records, 3 staff records and 7 medications were reviewed. The children were observed drawing, playing games, eating snack and playing together. 1 staff member is new to this location since the last inspection. Areas of non-compliance are identified in this report. The exit interview was conducted with the lead teacher. If you have any questions, contact Kimberly.Sawyer@dss.virginia.gov.

Standard #: 22VAC40-185-260-A
Description: Based on observation, the center did not have an annual fire inspection. Evidence: The fire inspection on site expired 09/01/2018

Plan of Correction: The school did not have a inspection due to renovation. We will obtain a report once the inspection is complete.

Standard #: 22VAC40-185-510-F
Description: Based on observation, medication was not kept in its original container with the direction label attached. Evidence: Medication for Child A was found without the direction label.

Plan of Correction: Corrected during inspection, obtained box from the school nurses office.
