Comments:
A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted on Wednesday, October 3, 2018 from approximately 3:20 pm until 5:00 pm to review supplemental health and safety requirements. The licensing inspector observed 63 children being supervised by 4 staff including the site supervisor. During this inspection, the children were observed by the licensing inspector completing a variety of activities to include participating in indoor activities, engaging with peers, transitioning indoors from outdoor play, completing bathroom breaks, and preparing for dinner, and eating dinner in the cafeteria. The children's dinner consisted of teriyaki chicken with veggies and rice, oranges, and milk. During this inspection, the licensing inspector also completed observations of the during parent pick up. The following information was reviewed: emergency supplies, menu, fire and shelter-in-place drills, injury/accident reports, and children's allergies. Medication is being administered, medications, and written authorizations were reviewed for the center's compliance. The injury prevention plan was reviewed/updated on 09/07/18. There were five children?s records and four of the staff's emergency contacts and required certificates of completion were reviewed during this inspection. : A licensing inspection was conducted on the same date as the SHSI supplemental inspection; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. No violations of the supplemental subsidy health and safety requirements were found. The Department has received a complete renewal application and annual fee from the center.
