Comments:
On October 3, 2018, an unannounced renewal inspection was conducted between the hours of approximately 10:15 a.m. and 4:55 p.m. One hundred thirteen (113) children were in the care of twenty-five (25) staff members, in thirteen (13) classrooms, during the on site inspection. Three additional staff members were present and assisted, as needed. Ten children's records and ten staff records were reviewed. Background clearances and references for LLC officers were previously reviewed. Two children's medications and two children's topical ointments, as well as authorization forms, were reviewed. Safety equipment, posted information (license, inspection documentation, weekly menu, emergency evacuation diagram/plan, emergency telephone numbers and classroom schedules) and available documents/records maintained in written and/or digital format (emergency evacuation drill/shelter-in-place drill records, local agency reports, insurance verification; injury reports, infants' daily information and attendance records) were observed/reviewed. Staff/child interactions were observed to be positive and supportive of children's growth and development. The facility was observed to be clean and supplied with a variety of age/stage appropriate learning and play materials/toys. Program observation was completed. Activities provided on this date included: indoor play - toys and stories; restroom, diapering and handwashing procedures; outdoor play; lunch (turkey and cheese sandwiches, carrots, pears and milk); infant care; naptime and pick-up/departure of children. Previously cited violations (inspection date - 3/22/2018) were reviewed for compliance; no repeat violations were cited. Refer to the accompanying Violation Notice for information regarding standards noncompliance cited during this inspection. Discussion, on this date, included playground surfacing, computer documentation of daily infant records, diapering procedures, medication documentation, tuberculosis (TB) documentation and review of the Provider Risk Performance Profile report.
