An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today, October 5, 2018 to determine compliance with licensing standards. The Inspector arrived at 9:00 am and concluded the inspection at 11:30 am. The administrator participated in the inspection. Upon the inspectors arrival, the children in the infant room and toddler room were playing on the playground with balls, pails and shovels. Staff interacted and participated in play in a positive manner with the children. Later children were observed in their classrooms were they had lunch, listened to stories and prepared for nap. Children provided their own meals which were labeled with names and today's date. All areas of the facility were inspected to include two classrooms, hallway, bathroom and out door playground. Classrooms are equipped with age and stage appropriate materials. The following required information was posted: license, last inspection notice, emergency number, evacuation maps/procedures and daily schedules. The first aid kit and non medical emergency supplies were inspected and found complete. The inspector interacted with staff and children in care. Six staff records and five children's records were reviewed. Medication and medication authorizations were reviewed. Staff have current EMAT certification. Multiple staff have current CPR, First Aid and Daily Heath Observation training, The most recent evacuation drill was documented on 09/05/218. A shelter-in-place drills was conducted on 09/11/2018. Today's Ratios: Infants: 4 children with 2 staff. Toddler: 9 children with 3 staff.
