- Technical Assistance:
A new director was on site. Discussed the changes with the school, the new cleaning crew, scheduled painters, plans for staff and general organization.
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today from 9:50am to 11:25am. 40 children were directly supervised by 8 staff members. Ratios were in compliance. The physical space, 4 children's records, 3 staff records, evacuation drills, attendance records, medications and injury reports were reviewed. The children were observed playing in small groups and interacting with staff members. Infants were observed playing and napping. Bottles were properly labeled. Standard #: 22VAC40-185-510-E Description: Based on observation, one medication was not labeled with the child's name, the name of the medication, the dosage amount, and the time or times to be given. Evidence: The label of the one medication on site was worn off and unable to be read. Plan of Correction: The staff will return the medication to the parent today and request a new medication with a new label.
