Comments:
A monitoring inspection was conducted from 8:30am-11:00am. The center has moved address locations so a modification and renewal were conducted. There were no changes in staff or enrolled children. A sample of 2 staff and 5 children's records were reviewed in addition to 2 medications. The owner has a plan for supervision of the non-potty trained children to use the main bathroom with the changing table in it.

Violations:
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-270-A
Description: Based on observation the center did not ensure areas and equipment of the center were maintained in a safe condition. Evidence: There was peeling paint at the base of the yellow partition adjacent from the bathrooms. In the 2 1/2 year-old room the molding strip along the base board was detached from the wall.

Plan of Correction: During the exit interview the owner provided the following corrective action. The paint will be smoothed and repainted the the molding will be secured to the baseboard.

Description: Based on observation the center did not ensure hazardous substances were kept in a locked place using a safe locking method. Evidence: In the two year-old room there was an unlocked cabinet containing a spray bottle of bleach.

Plan of Correction: During the exit interview the owner provided the following corrective action. The owner locked the chemicals during the inspection.
