Comments:
A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted on October 15, 2018, to review supplemental health and safety requirements. This on-site visit was conducted from 10:35 a.m. through 1:30 p.m. There were twenty-eight children in the care of six staff. Five children's and eight staff records were reviewed and updated. No medication is being administered at this time. A licensing inspection was conducted on the same date as the SHSI supplemental inspection; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. No violations of the supplemental subsidy health and safety requirements were found. Areas observed were: educational center activities, free choice, outside play, hand washing/bathroom and diapering procedures, transition, and nap. Interactions between the children and staff were observed as appropriate and the children seem comfortable with the daily routine and schedule. Please contact me at 540-430-9256 if you have any questions and/or if I may be of assistance with licensing standards.
