The licensing inspector conducted an unannounced monitoring inspection, at which play groups, outdoor time, story time, music time, activities, group time, personal hygiene, lunch time, and rest time were observed. Children were observed; and staff and children files and other documentation were reviewed. Sixty-nine (69) children, aged 2 months-5 years, were found to be in care with 14 staff, office staff, and kitchen staff. Previous violations were reviewed, and had been corrected. Please contact me if you need further assistance. Thank you for your cooperation. This inspection began at 9:45am and concluded at 1:30pm.
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-440-A Description: Based on review of the classrooms the facility failed to maintain compliance with this standard as required in the infant room regarding cribs. Evidence: There were 8 infants in care, aged 2 months-10 months, during the inspection. There were only 7 cribs available in the infant room. Each child is required to have a designated crib for sleeping when in care. Plan of Correction: We will obtain another crib and place it in the infant room immediately for compliance.
