The inspector conducted an unannounced mandated inspection from 10:30 a.m until 1:15. There were 25 infants and children in care with staff supervising at all times. There was also kitchen staff and and early interventionist present and two family service workers. Upon arrival, once class was observed going outside and riding toys. Infants were observed coming back in from outside, washing hands, eating lunch and sleeping. Five children's records were reviewed. Children were also observed watching a video and walking to the cafeteria for lunch. Medications were inspected. Violations are identified on the violation notice. Standard #: 22VAC40-185-280-B Description: Based on observation, the center did not keep all hazardous substances locked. Evidence: 1. The inspector observed a bottle of bleach water on top of a shelf which was out of reach of the children but unlocked. Plan of Correction: Locked during the inspection. Staff is going to ask for a lock by the diaper changing area.
