Today we discussed the importance of cleaning toys and equipment.
- Comments:

An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted from 10am through 12:30pm. There were 66 children in care ages two months through five years with 15 teaching staff and 3 administrators. Children and staff records were reviewed. Required postings, annual inspections and insurance were reviewed. Children were observed in teacher and self-directed activities including circle time, story time, outside play, hand washing, transitions, restroom routines, lunch and nap preparation. A single violation regarding back ground checks was identified and appears on the violation notice.

Standard #: 22VAC40-191-60-C-2 Description: Based on record review and interview the center failed to obtain a central registry finding within 30 days of employment. Evidence: 1 - The record for staff 2 does not contain a central registry finding. Staff 2 has a documented date of hire as8/31/17. 2 - Staff 1 confirmed that a central registry finding was not present in the record of staff 2. Plan of Correction: Center management will resubmit the request of the central registry as soon as possible. The request will be sent to the inspector within 10 days. Once the finding is received the center will forward documentation of results to the inspector within ten days of receiving the finding.
