An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted this date. A total of 20 children with 4 staff observed in the classrooms. The 3 year old class was observed making fall leaf acorns with the assistance of staff. Some children were actively engaged working with peg boards and stacking plastic shapes. The classroom was supplied with ample supplies of art, games, toys and equipment. The upstairs 4 year old classroom was observed in am circle time. Staff were reading a holiday Thanksgiving book to the children and engaging children to answer questions about the book to assess competency. A nice transition to free play and a small group of children were called to complete a fall art project which involved naming things that they are thankful for. The classroom was decorated with art projects that the children had completed in previous weeks. A total of 5 children's records and MAT, Daily Health Observation and CPR and First Aid certifications were verified. Staff records are reviewed at the administrative office annually for staff qualifications and background checks. This inspection began at 9:30am and ended at 11:40am.
