22VAC40-185 SPECIAL SERVICES.
An unannounced monitoring inspection began on 11/1/18 and concluded on 11/6/18. On 11/1/8 there were 54 children in care ages 2months through five years old with 12 teaching staff and the program director. Children and staff records were reviewed. A walking of the center inside and outside was completed. Required postings, annual inspections, emergency evacuation drills first aid kit and medication were reviewed. Children were observed in teacher and self-directed activities. A single violation was identified in the area of emergency supplies and appears on the violation notice.
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-570-I Description: Based on observation and interview the center failed to ensure that a one-day's emergency supply of disposable bottles, nipples, and commercial formulas appropriate for the children is maintained at the center. Evidence: 1 - There is not a one-day's supply of emergency disposable bottles nipples and formulas for the 12 bottle fed infants enrolled in the program. a. Staff 2 confirmed that there was not enough emergency formula for all 12 bottle fed infants. Plan of Correction: Additional supplies were purchased to be in compliance on 11/6/2018.
