63.2 Facilities & Programs.
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today from 10:00am-11:45am. There were 57 children (infants-5yrs.) supervised by 14 direct care staff. The physical plant, 6 staff records, medications, the physical plant, and staff interactions and supervision were inspected. Children were observed coloring, playing with magnets, cars, and rattles, engaging in free play outside on the playground, and preparing for their Thanksgiving luncheon. There was an abundance of books, toys, and materials, which were found to be developmentally appropriate for the children in care at the time of inspection. Areas of non-compliance are identified in the Violation Notice. Standard #: 22VAC40-185-510-A Description: Based on a review of medications, 2 of 6 children's medications did not have written authorizations from the parent. Evidence: Child #1's (start date: 7/13/2018) Children's Benadryl and Epi-Pen, and Child #2's (start date: 8/18/2017) Simply Saline solution did not have corresponding authorization forms signed by the parent. Plan of Correction: The updated authorization forms have already been scanned and emailed to the parents. Children can not return to school until updated forms are returned.
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-510-F Description: Based on a review of medications, 1 of 6 medications were not kept in the original container with the direction label attached. Evidence: Child #2's (start date: 8/18/2017) Simply Saline solution was not kept in the original container with the direction label attached. Plan of Correction: The medication will be sent home with the parent today, and can only be returned if in the original box.

Evidence: Child #1's (start date: 7/13/2018) Epi-Pen was not maintained in the original, labeled container. Plan of Correction: Parents have already been notified that the original box and prescription label, is needed.
