An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted today from 12:10pm-1:55pm. There were no children in care during the inspection. The physical plant, 4 staff records, 5 children?s records, evacuation drills, injury reports, emergency supplies, and policies were inspected. No medications were present during today's inspection. There was an abundant supply of materials for the children. There was an adequate number of staff with current certification in MAT, CPR and First Aid, as well as DHO training. The center was clean and organized. Areas of non-compliance are identified in the Violation Notice. Standard #: 22VAC40-185-240-A Description: Based on record review, not all staff had a documentation of having received an orientation by the end of their first day of assuming job responsibilities. Evidence: Staff 3's record does not contain a record of receiving orientation. Plan of Correction: We will provide the staff member with an orientation.
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-540-E Description: Based on observation, the center did not have all required nonmedical emergency supplies. Evidence: The center did not have a working battery operated radio on the date of inspection. Plan of Correction: We will purchase a radio.
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-550-D Description: Based on record review and staff statement, the center did not implement a monthly practice evacuation drill. Evidence: No practice drill was conducted in October 2018. Plan of Correction: We will resume practicing fire drills monthly.
