An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted on Monday, November 26, 2018 from 10:00am to 1:15pm to determine the center?s compliance with licensing standards. The center?s director assisted the inspector throughout the inspection. The census for today?s inspection consisted of 41 children in care in the care of 8 direct staff members. Additional staff were on site assisting the center?s director. During the inspection, the licensing inspector observed the children in their designated classrooms interacting with peer and staff. One group of children was formally observed in their classroom playing in centers and finishing up a coloring activity. Another group of children was observed playing with toys and dancing. The staff were observed having positive interactions with the children. Today?s lunch consisted of mac & cheese, elbow noodles, carrots, apple sauce, and milk. The first aid kit and non-medical emergency supplies were inspected and found to be in compliance. During the inspection, the required postings were reviewed and determined to be in compliance. There were five children?s records and five staff?s records reviewed on this date. Violations from the previous inspection were checked for corrections. Standard #: 22VAC40-185-160-C Description: Based on a review of five staff records on 11/26/2018, the center did not obtain an updated tuberculosis (TB) test or screening every two years for one out of five staff records reviewed. EVIDENCE: 1) The TB test for Staff #4 was dated 07/05/2016 and expired on 07/05/2018. TB test/screenings are required to be updated every two years from the initial test/screening. Plan of Correction: Per the Director: Staff will go to take TB screening/test today. Staff are reminded to resubmit TB test/screening 15 days prior to expiration.
