The licensing inspector conducted an unannounced monitoring inspection, at which play groups, morning snack time, activities, art, music, story time, lunch time, personal hygiene, and rest time were observed. Children were observed; and staff and children files and other documentation were reviewed. One hundred seventeen (117) children, aged 2.5 years-5 years, were found to be in care with 18 staff, and administrative staff. Previous violations were reviewed, and had been corrected. Please contact me if you need further assistance. Thank you for your cooperation. This inspection began at 10am and concluded at 1:30pm.

Standard #: 22VAC40-185-70-A Description: Based on review of staff files and discussions with administration the facility failed to maintain compliance with this standard as required relating to proof of qualifications of staff. Evidence: Staff records #1-#5 did not have proof of qualifications documented for the positions held as required. Plan of Correction: Documentation will be obtained and placed within the staff files for compliance.
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-550-E Description: Based on review of documentation and discussions with administration the facility failed to maintain compliance with this standard as required relating to documenting practiced drills. Evidence: There was no documentation of the practiced emergency drills for the past several months. Plan of Correction: The previously practiced drills will be documented for compliance and will be documented at the time of the drills moving forward to ensure continued compliance.
