An unannounced monitoring inspection was made on 11/16/18. There were 17 children present with three staff supervising. Five children's records were reviewed. Two staff records had been reviewed previously. Three additional staff records were reviewed on 11/26/18 and the inspection was completed on that date. Two medications were observed. The inspector arrived at the school at 2:50 pm and departed at 4:30 pm. The children were observed at arrival, during gym time, and during departures.
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-190-A Description: Based on record review, the center failed to ensure that there was a staff person present at the site with the qualifications for program director. Evidence: 1. Staff #4 who was identified as the site's program director did not have the education or training required by the job position. The staff person did meet the requirement for experience. 2. Staff #1, #2, #3, or #5 did not meet the requirements for program director. Plan of Correction: The child care coordinator will apply for an allowable variance.
