An unannounced subsidy health and safety inspection was conducted today with the Branch Director. Twelve children were present during the initial walkthrough with one staff supervising. Two children had diagnosed food allergies. New subsidy requirements became effective on October 17, 2018. The facility has not yet complied with the following requirements: 650E- a written policy and procedures to ensure care by consistent staff is now required and 770B5 - procedures for continuity of operations to ensure that essential functions are maintained during an emergency must be included in the emergency response plan. Please review all the new subsidy requirements and contact your inspector for questions in order to ensure future compliance. Arrival time: 2: 45 pm Departure time: 5: 30 pm
Standard #: 22VAC40-665-520-B-11 Description: Based on a review of six children's files and an interview with the branch director, it was determined that there were no allergy plans of file for two children who have food allergies. Evidence: Child A and B have allergies to peanuts and there were no allergy plans on file for either child. Plan of Correction: Not available online. Contact Inspector for more information.
