A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted on 12/12/2018 to review supplemental health and safety requirements. The inspection began at 9:00am and ended at 10:30am. There were 28 children in care with four staff. The children were observed making Christmas crafts and at free play. Four staff?s records and five children?s records were reviewed. A licensing inspection was also conducted this date; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. Violations were found during the supplemental subsidy health and safety inspection and are identified on the violation notice. Standard #: 22VAC40-665-780-A-3 Description: Based on documentation review and interview, the vendor failed to practice an annual lock down drill. Evidence: 1. The inspector reviewed the emergency drill documentation. There was no lock down drill recorded for the last 12 months. 2. The inspector asked the director if the center had practiced a lock down drill and the director said they had not. Plan of Correction: The director said the center would practice a lock down drill before the end of the calendar year.
