Discussion of the new subsidy regulations and how they apply to the Child Day Center (CDC). ? New subsidy requirements became effective on October 17, 2018. The facility has not yet complied with the following requirement: 22VAC40-665-650. Supervision, ratio, and group size requirements. *The CDC will need a written policy and procedure to ensure that the care of the children is by consistent staff. 22VAC40-665-770. Procedures for emergencies. *The CDC will need to include procedures for the continuity of operations to ensure that essential functions are maintained during an emergency. These procedures will need to be included in the center's emergency response plan. ? The facility is to review the new requirements and work with their assigned inspector to ensure future compliance.

A Subsidy Health and Safety Inspection (SHSI) was conducted at the Goddard School located in Ashburn, Virginia. This inspection was conducted on 12/14/2018, between the hours of 10 am through 3:30 pm to review supplemental health and safety requirements. An Unannounced Monitoring Inspection was conducted on the same date as the SHSI supplemental inspection; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection.
