A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted on 12-17-18 to review supplemental health and safety requirements. There were 14 children in care, aged 14 months-4 years, with 3 staff, and administrative staff. Children were active in story time, group time, activities, personal hygiene, and lunch time. Children were observed, and staff and children files and other documentation were reviewed for compliance. A licensing inspection was also conducted this date; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. Violations were found during the supplemental subsidy health and safety inspection and are identified on the violation notice.
Standard #: 22VAC40-665-510-B Description: Based on review of documents the vendor failed to maintain compliance with this standard as required relating to daily attendance. Evidence: There had been no daily attendance documented in the infant room at the time of inspection today, where 3 children were already in care upon arrival of the inspector. Also, review of older daily attendance records in this room found that there was no documentation of daily attendance for the previous week. Plan of Correction: Daily attendance will be documented upon arrival as required for future compliance. Notification of departure will also be documented for compliance as required.
