Comments:
A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted on 12/19/18 from 11:30am until 2:30pm to review supplemental health and safety requirements. At the time of the tour, there were 37 children in care with 8 staff present. A sample of 5 children's records and 5 staff records were reviewed. Children were observed eating lunch and resting quietly during nap time. Infant feeding and diapering, hand washing, restroom and table sanitizing procedures were also observed. Medication, transportation, the emergency preparedness plan, documentation of emergency practice drills and children's injury reports were reviewed. A licensing inspection was conducted on the same date as the SHSI supplemental inspection; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. No violations of the supplemental subsidy health and safety requirements were found.
