An unannounced mandated Monitoring inspection was conducted today from 3:15 to 4:45 pm. There were 45 children present with 4 staff. Children were observed having snack, playing board games, reading, building with blocks, reading, playing cards, doing homework, and coloring. Reviewed 3 staff files, 2 children's files, medication and authorizations, emergency evacuation drills, and physical plant. Violations of the Standards have been recorded on the Violation Notice. Standard #: 22VAC40-185-510-G Description: Based on observation of medication, drugs are not maintained in the original, labeled container. Evidence: Child#1 has a prescription for Epinephrine from a pharmacy with the box indicating 2 doses are provided in the prescription. The original #2 has been crossed out, and a #1 has been handwritten over the original label. Doctor's written orders state directions and circumstances for a second dose. Only one dose is available to staff. Plan of Correction: I will have a conversation with the parent.
