Technical Assistance:
When the children are playing basketball the staff needs to closely monitor and intervene when children engage in taunting, teasing or provocative talk, which can lead to on-going disputes which could escalate at a later time.

Comments:
The center self reported a situation involving standard 410- roughly handling a child and enclosing a child into a confined space and standard 400 A - failure to interact with a child with needed help, support and comfort. Interviews, observation and a review of a video recording and documentation were conducted on 12/20/18 and 1/3/19 with the local department of social services. There were no violations resulting from this investigation. Arrival/Departure time on 12/20/18 - 3 to 4:30 pm Arrival/Departure time on 1/3/19- 1 pm to 2: 30 pm
