An unannounced Renewal Inspection was conducted beginning at 4:00 and ending at 6:00. There were 49 children in care with 3 staff . Children were ages 5 - 11. Children were observed doing small group activities, homework and snack. Standard #: 22VAC40-185-60-A Description: Based on a review of the records for 9 children, it was determined that not all files were complete. Evidence: Child A has no registration forms and only has a physical and shot record in the file folder; Child C has two emergency contacts and Authorized pick up persons that are all out of state at a distance that woukd make pick up not possible in an emergency. Plan of Correction: Staff will talk to parents and get local emergency contacts and persons who can pick up.
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-510-C Description: Based on a review of the medications for 2 children, it was determined that the medication for Child E had expired. Evidence: The Emergency medication for Child E expired in October 2018. The medication has not been replaced. Plan of Correction: Director states that parent says that medication is back ordered. Director will have parent document that and have doctor document that also.
