63.2(17) License & Registration Procedures
An unannounced focused monitoring inspection was conducted to review staff records for 7 sites operated by Hampton Roads Community Action Program. The records sample size consisted of 11 staff records for the program operated at Portsmouth Head Start. Areas of non-compliance are identified on the violation notice. Standard #: 63.2(17)-1720.1-B-2 Description: Based on a review of 11 staff records and interview, the licensee could not demonstrate that each employee of the program submitted to fingerprinting prior to October 30, 2018. Evidence: 1. Eleven staff records were reviewed. 2. The record for Staff #8 contained the results of a Fingerprint / National Criminal Record Check which was dated 11/15/18. 3. Fingerprint / National Criminal Record Checks were required to be conducted prior to October 30, 2018. Plan of Correction: The Fingerprint / National Criminal Record Check has been completed and results are now in the record. Future Fingerprint / National Criminal Record Checks for new employees will be conducted prior to hiring them.
