An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today. All groups are in ration during the inspection. 3 staff and 4 children's records were reviewed. See Violation notice form missing information. Children were observed playing outdoors in the snow, washing hands, during diapering and preparing for rest. Emergency evacuation drills, emergency supplies, labeled bottles, and cot spacing are all in compliance. Standard #: 22VAC40-185-70-A Description: Based on review of records, staff records do not include all required components. Evidence: 2 of 3 records reviewed, did not contain documentation of 2 references prior to employment. (Staff B,C) Plan of Correction: They will be on file by 1/25/18.
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-510-D Description: Based on a review of records, one child's record does not contain documentation of a medication authorization form Evidence: Child #1 has two medications present at the center, neither of them has an authorization available for review. (Epi-pen and Benadryl). Plan of Correction: I have emailed the parents asking them to complete it immediately.
Standard #: 63.2(17)-1721.1-D Description: Based on a review of records, one staff record did not contain documentation of a completed Out of State Child protective services search. Evidence: Staff A (Date of Hire: 6/29/15) has lived in the District of Columbia within the last 5 years. No out of state search is on file. Plan of Correction: The form has been printed to submit.
