An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today. There were 58 children in care, with a total of 5 staff members assigned to their direct supervision. Children's records, staff training records, emergency preparedness items, children's nutrition, classroom programming, and the physical plant were inspected today. The children were observed creating art projects, playing with toys, building with blocks, and playing group games in the gym. This inspection was completed between approximately 10:15 am and 11:45am. Thank you for meeting with me today. Standard #: 22VAC40-185-130-A Description: Based on a review of children's health records, it was determined that one record is not complete. Evidence: The record for child G does not include an immunization record. Plan of Correction: I will ask the nurse for the health records.
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-60-A Description: Based on a review of children's records, it was determined that three records were not complete. Evidence: 1. Child record A, and record B do not include "authorized pick ups" information. 2. Child record E does not include the child's documented date of enrollment. Plan of Correction: The records will be updated.
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-550-E Description: Based on a review of emergency drills, it was determined that the center has not maintained an accurate record of monthly fire evacuation drills. Evidence: There is no documentation of a completed fire evacuation drill during the month of December, 2018. Plan of Correction: We did the drill just before holiday break but forgot to document it. The documentation will be updated.
