An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today. There were 51 children in care, with a total of 6 staff members assigned to their direct supervision. Children's records, staff training, children's medications, emergency preparedness items, the physical plant, and classroom programming were inspected today. In addition, the Inspector reviewed the details of a reported recent child's injury requiring medical care. It was determined that the child was injured as the result of an accident, and no violations were cited associated with this incident. The children were observed finishing lunch from home, playing with electronics from home, playing with toys, engaging in creative play, and creating small art projects. This inspection was completed between approximately 12:30pm and 2:00pm. Thank you for meeting with me today. Standard #: 22VAC40-185-130-A Description: Based on a review of children's health records, it was determined that one record was not complete. Evidence: Child record C does not include an immunization record. Plan of Correction: I will get the shot record from the school nurse.
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-60-A Description: Based on a review of children's records, it was determined that one record was not complete. Evidence: Child record D does not include "authorized pick ups" information. Plan of Correction: The parent will be asked for the information.
