Reviewed the Child Care Program Regulation (22VAC40-665) - Subsidy inspection requirements memo and Group Size Requirements Information Sheet that was distributed to subsidy providers on 10/16/2018.
The licensing inspector conducted an unannounced Subsidy Health and Safety inspection Thursday, January 10, 2018 from 12:39pm to 3:15pm to review supplemental health and safety requirements. The children were observed resting on cots and later they were observed eating snack. The children bring their own snack and lunch from home. All classrooms and playgrounds were inspected today. The facility?s van was also inspected. Five children?s records and five employee records were reviewed during this inspection. Medication is being administered however none is at the center. The center's first aid kit and emergency supplies were inspected. Last emergency drill: 12/17/2018 Last shelter-in-place drill: 12/17/2018 (practiced monthly) Fire Inspection: 11/06/2018 Health Inspection: 11/02/2018 Total enrollment today: 15 Today, the following child to staff ratios were observed: Preschool? 6:1 Pre-K ? 9:1 A licensing inspection was also conducted this date; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. No violations were found during the supplemental subsidy health and safety inspection requirements.
