Reviewed the Child Care Program Regulation (22VAC40-665) - Subsidy inspection requirements memo and Group Size Requirements Information Sheet that was distributed to subsidy providers on 10/16/2018.

The licensing inspector conducted an unannounced subsidy health and safety inspection Tuesday, January 22 , 2019 from 12:30pm to 3:20pm to review supplemental health and safety requirements. The infants and toddlers were observed resting and being fed. The preschool children were observed resting on cots. All classrooms were inspected today. Five children?s records and five employee records were reviewed during this inspection. The center administers medication and it was reviewed. The center's first aid kit and emergency supplies were inspected. Last emergency drill: 12/26/2018 Last shelter-in-place drill: 09/08/2018 Lockdown drill: 04/23/2018 Total enrollment today: 54 Today, the following child to staff ratios were observed: Infants and Toddlers?10:3 Twos ?15:2 Threes ?19:2 Pre-K-10:1 School Age ?present A licensing inspection was also conducted this date; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. No violations were found during the supplemental subsidy health and safety inspection requirements.
