The licensing inspector conducted an unannounced monitoring inspection Thursday, January 24, 2019 from 9:55am to 11:50am . The children were observed eating snack, reading books, reviewing the alphabet and number, and dancing to music . The infants were observed playing on the floor with their teacher and being changed. All classrooms were inspected today. Due to the rainy weather the playground was not inspected. The center does not administer medicine. The center does not provide transportation. Five children?s records and five employee records were reviewed during this inspection. The center's first aid kit and emergency supplies were inspected. Last emergency drill:12/28/2018 Last shelter-in-place drill: 10/11/2018 Last fire inspection: 12/28/2018 Last health inspection: 12/28/2018 Total enrollment: 31 Today, the following child to staff ratios were observed: Infants ?6:2 Toddlers ?8:2 Twos and Threes-8:1 Preschool (three to five years old)?9:1 The violations from the previous inspections were checked for corrections. Standard #: 63.2(17)-1720.1-B-2 Description: Based on a review of staff records on 01/24/2019, the center did not ensure that staff obtained a fingerprint based national background check in the required time frame. EVIDENCE: The determination letter for the fingerprint based background check in the record of Staff #5 is dated 01/22/2019. Plan of Correction: It has been corrected, fingerprints were done in January. I read the memo wrong. All other background checks were correct.
