A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted on 02/04/2019 to review supplemental health and safety requirements. Play groups, breakfast time, outdoor time, group time, music time, story time, personal hygiene, activities, lunch time, and rest time were observed. Children were observed; and staff and children files and other documentation were reviewed. Seventy-five (75) children, aged 3 months-5 years, were found to be in care with 13 staff, kitchen staff, and numerous administrative staff. A licensing inspection was also conducted this date; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. Violations were found during the supplemental subsidy health and safety inspection and are identified on the violation notice.

Description: Based on review of the classroom, and discussions with staff and administration ,the vendor failed to maintain compliance with this standard as required relating to daily attendance. Evidence: There was not a hard copy of daily attendance showing arrival and departure times as required. The vendor was using an electronic version only.

Plan of Correction: We will again start using a hard copy of daily attendance, that shows arrival and departure of the children as required.

Description: Based on review of the classroom, and discussions with staff and administration ,the vendor failed to maintain compliance with this standard as required relating to allergy action plans. Evidence: Child L has a medically diagnosed food allergy to nuts; the vendor did not have an allergy action plan as required.

Plan of Correction: The parent was notified during the inspection as to the need to provide the allergy action plan, or to give permission for the public school the child attends to release the document to us so that we may have the plan as required.
