- Technical Assistance:
Technical assistance was provided regarding emergency supplies for infants.
An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted from 10:00 am-12:45pm. 68 children were in care with 11 staff members present. Children were observed playing outdoors, getting bottle fed, taking potty breaks and washing hands before lunch. The lunch menu included fried rice, peas, carrots, applesauce and milk. Positive staff to children interactions were observed. 5 staff and 5 children's records, emergency plan, emergency supplies and drill records were reviewed. Standard #: 22VAC40-185-130-B Description: Based on record review, the center did not obtain documentation of additional immunizations once every six months for children under the age of two years. Evidence: Child # 2's (age 22 months) most recent immunization records were obtained in May 2018. Additional immunizations records were not obtained after 6 months. Plan of Correction: I will ask the parent to bring in updated shot records.
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-140-A Description: Based on record review, the center did not obtain a physical exam within 30 days of a child's enrollment day. Evidence: 1. Child # 1 first day of enrollment was listed 9/10/18. 2. Child # 1's physical exam was dated 2/4/19. A physical was not obtained within 30 days of the first day of enrollment. Plan of Correction: We will obtain physical exams within the required time.
