A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted on 02/06/2019 from 10am to 12:45pm to review supplemental health and safety requirements. There were 68 children in care of 11 staff members. The children were observed playing outdoors, washing hands before lunch, getting bottle fed and positive staff to children interactions were observed. A licensing inspection was also conducted this date; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. Violations were found during the supplemental subsidy health and safety inspection requirements and are identified on the violation notice. Standard #: 22VAC40-665-650-E Description: Based on staff interview, the center did not develop and implement a written policy and procedure that describes how the center will ensure that each group of children receives care by consistent staff or team of staff members. Evidence: Staff # 1 stated that the center does not have a group size plan written or implemented at the time. Plan of Correction: We will have a staff discussion, create and implement the plan.
Standard #: 22VAC40-665-770-B Description: Based on staff interview and record review, the center did not include the continuity plan in it's emergency response plan. Evidence: The emergency response plan did not have a written continuity plan included. Staff # 1 stated that they had not prepared a continuity plan. Plan of Correction: We will create and add the continuity plan to our emergency response plan.
