An unannounced mandated Renewal Inspection was conducted today from 10:20am to 1:05 pm. There were 63 children and14 staff present during this inspection. Children were observed having circle time, counting in Spanish, having snack, playing outside on the playground, engaging in parachute gross motor activities, and reading books. Reviewed 5 staff files, 5 children files, Emergency Evacuation drills and supplies, first aid kit, medications and authorizations, fire inspection, attendance, and menus. Violations of the Standards are recorded on the Violation Notice. Standard #: 63.2(17)-1721.1-A Description: Based on interview with Director, Agents of the Child Care Center have not completed the 3 required background checks. Evidence: Agent #1, #2, #3 and #4 have not obtained the national Fingerprint background check clearance, sworn disclosure statement and Central Registry Child Abuse background check. Plan of Correction: I will obtain these documents and submit as soon as possible.
