Health and Safety inspection was conducted from 9am through 6:30pm to review supplemental health and safety requirements. There were 12 children in care with three staff. Children present ranged in age from four months through four years. Children were observed in teacher and self-directed activities. A licensing inspection was also conducted this date; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. Violations were found during the supplemental subsidy health and safety inspection requirements and are identified on the violation notice.
Standard #: 22VAC40-665-770-B-5 Description: Based on interview the vendor failed to provide continuity of operations procedures to ensure that essential functions are maintained during an emergency. Evidence: There is not a procedure available for review regarding how the center will provide continuity of operations to ensure that essential functions are maintained during an emergency. Plan of Correction: The center corporate office is in the process of creating the newly required procedure.
