Thank you for your time and assistance with the unannounced monitoring inspection conducted today, February 27, 2019. The on-site inspection was conducted from 2:45 p.m. to 5:50 p.m. On this date, there were 16 children in one group and in the care of two staff members. The total enrollment for the program was 45 children. Three staff members' records were checked for updates and five children's records were reviewed. The medication and medication paperwork were for two children. Two staff members and five children were interviewed. The exception to compliance was noted on the violation notice and the risk rating was noted on the supplemental page. Snack consisted of animal crackers and juice. Some items observed and reviewed during the inspection included required posted information, current health inspections, first aid supplies, emergency supplies, documentation of evacuation, shelter-in-place and lockdown drills, arrival procedures, large motor play in the gym, transitions, snack, hand washing and bathroom procedures, homework time, table games, outdoor play, and dismissal procedures. Standard #: 22VAC40-185-160-C Description: Based on the updates of three staff members' records and confirmation with staff, one staff member obtained her updated tuberculosis (TB) screening more than two years after her most recent TB screening. Evidence: 1. Staff Member #3 obtained her TB screening on 12/11/2018. The date of her previous TB screening was 10/17/2016. 2. Staff Member #1 stated that Staff Member #3 stopped working on 11/15/2018 due to not having her updated TB and did not return to work until it was obtained. Plan of Correction: Kid Central will ensure that all staff will obtain their updated TB screenings within two years of the most recent one.
