- Technical Assistance:
Discussion was held on the topics of current enrollment, current staffing, and children's files. All children's files are being kept (in hard copy form) downstairs in a locked file cabinet in the community center office. This is a departure from keeping them all on a classroom ipad. This change was due to constant glitches in the system.
The following inspection took place between the hours of 9 am through 12 pm (noon). Today, I met with the Staff of the Loudoun Valley Community Center located in the town of Purcellville, Virginia. At the start of this unannounced monitoring inspection there were a total of 83 children with 12 classroom staff; good ratios in all 6 rooms. A total of 10 children?s files were reviewed. Staff files will be reviewed at an unannounced date in the future through the PRCS main office in Ashburn. The children were engaged in the following: learning the sounds that letters of the alphabet make, center activities within the classroom, show and tell, large motor activities in the gym, a dragon parade, snack time, clean up, bathroom breaks, hand washing, and other organized activities. If you should have any future questions, please call or send an e-mail. Thank you. Charlie Perkins, Licensing Inspector (703) 309-3963
