Comments:
Thank you for your time and assistance with the unannounced monitoring inspection conducted today, March 5, 2019. The on-site inspection was held from 11:25a.m. to 3:50p.m. On this date, there were 27 children in three classrooms and in the care of seven staff members. There were two additional staff members available to assist if needed. All three of the classrooms were toured and two of them were observed. The total enrollment for the program was 47 children. There were five staff members' records and five children's records reviewed. There were seven staff and four children interviewed. There was no medication on-site or being administered, which is the policy of the provider. There were no violations of the licensing standards found. The theme for the week was The Five Senses and the infants were working with The Very Hungry Caterpillar book. Lunch was brought from home and afternoon snack consisted of applesauce, mini vanilla wafers and water. Some items observed and reviewed during the inspection included lunch, hand washing and bathroom procedures, transitions, nap time, diaper changing procedures, infant care, story time, musical activities, afternoon snack, choice time, injury reports, outdoor play area, diaper ointments and authorizations, documentation of evacuation drills, shelter-in-place and lockdown drills, and required posted information.
