Comments:
The licensing inspector conducted an unannounced monitoring inspection that began at the center at 10:20am and concluded with staff record reviews at the central office at 3:00pm. There were twenty seven preschool children in care: fourteen children with two staff in classroom #1 and thirteen children with two staff in classroom #2. The children were observed playing in the centers and preparing for lunch. Five staff's records and five children's records were reviewed. Standard #: 22VAC40-185-330-B
Description: Based on observation, the center failed to have resilient surfacing under and surrounding a piece of playground equipment with moving parts. Evidence: 1. The inspector observed the playground. There was a bouncing play school bus on the playground sitting over grass. There was no resilient surfacing.

Plan of Correction: The Education Supervisor will complete a work order to remove this piece of equipment from the playground.
