- Technical Assistance:
Technical Assistance was offered regarding the use of a portable heater, medication forms, staff training hours.
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted from 10:40am to 1:00pm. There were 14 children in direct care and supervision of 2 staff members. The children were observed during circle time, completing a craft project and playing a variety of toys. 5 children's records and 4 staff records were reviewed. Medications and emergency drill records were reviewed. Areas of non compliance are listed in the violation notice. Standard #: 22VAC40-191-60-C-2 Description: Based on record review and staff interview, the center did not obtain central registry results for an employee within 30 days of employment. Evidence: 1. Staff # 1 was hired on 1/29/18. The central registry form for Staff # 1 was mailed on 1/24/18. 2. Staff # 2 stated that the results were obtained and available with the the human resources department. However, the results were not available for review during the inspection. Plan of Correction: I will get a copy from HR and keep in the staff member's record.
