An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted on March 18, 2019 from 2:15pm until 3:40pm. Upon arrival to the facility, there were 74 children present with 10 staff members. The children were observed participating in age appropriate activities, outdoor play, hand washing and snacking. A sample of 7 children's records and 7 staff records were reviewed. The licensing inspector toured the facility and reviewed supervision, emergency supplies, practice drills, nutrition, physical plant, required postings, and administration. There were no violations cited. An exit meeting was conducted with the facility director prior to the end of the inspection.
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-160-A Description: Based upon review of records the provider did not ensure that each staff member and individual from an independent contractor shall submit documentation of a negative tuberculosis screening. Evidence: 1. During review of staff records it was found that staff #1 did not have a current tuberculosis screening on file. a. Staff #1 date of hire was 2/15/2019. b. The director of the facility also identified and confirmed the violation. Plan of Correction: Staff will receive screening 3/19/2019
