Technical Assistance:
Discussion of the subsidy regulations and how they apply to the Child Day Center (CDC). It was determined that both Staff #1 and Staff #3 were hired in February of 2019. As a reminder, they each have 90 days to obtain both their 10 hours of Virginia in-service training, and their CPR & First Aid certification.

Comments:
A Subsidy Health and Safety (SHSI) inspection was conducted at the YMCA school-aged after-school program held on site at Cool Spring Elementary school located in the town of Leesburg, Virginia. This inspection was conducted on 03/25/2019, between the hours of 3:30 pm through 5:30 pm to review supplemental health and safety requirements. An Unannounced Monitoring Inspection was also conducted on this date; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that were not covered in licensing standards were reviewed during this supplemental inspection. Violations were found during the supplemental subsidy health and safety inspection requirements and were identified on the violation notice. If you should have any questions, please call or e-mail. Description: Based on review, a lockdown drill was not recorded so far for this year. Evidence - 1. On the date of inspection (03/25/2019), the drill log was reviewed posted on the parent bulletin board. 2. This log only included fire drills and shelter-in-place drills. 3. This standard was cited previously on 08/08/2018 when it was determined that a shelter-in-place drill had not been conducted during the summer camp program. 4. The last time this standard was successfully reviewed was during an inspection conducted on 03/13/2018.

Plan of Correction: A drill shall be conducted and the practice of this shall be recorded.
