Thank you for your time and assistance with the unannounced monitoring inspection conducted today, March 26, 2019. The on-site inspection was conducted 10:55a.m. to 1:30p.m. On this date, there were 17 children in the care of two staff members in one classroom. An extra staff member was available to assist as needed. There were a total of 19 children enrolled in the preschool program. Staff records were reviewed on September 25, 2018 at the MACAA Administration Office and there were no changes in the staff since that time. There were five children's records reviewed. There were no violations of the licensing standards found. There were two staff members and four children interviewed. No medications were on-site or being administered at the time of the inspection. The theme for the week was Simple Machines. Some items observed and reviewed during the inspection included: documentation of evacuation and shelter-in-place drills, required posted information, injury reports, first-aid kit and emergency supplies, warm water temperature, transition from lunch, bathroom and handwashing procedures, PE class in the gymnasium, outdoor play, calendar, circle time, story time, the Letter K, and nap time.
