Thank you for your time and assistance with the unannounced monitoring inspection conducted on March 25, 2019. The on-site inspection was conducted from 11:20 a.m. to 2:25 p.m. At the time of arrival there were 62 children in eight classrooms and in the care of 13 staff members with two staff members available to assist if needed. Total enrollment for the program was 129 children. The records for seven staff members and seven children were reviewed. All eight classrooms were toured and observations were made in three of those rooms. There were nine staff members and five children interviewed. The medication and medication paperwork were reviewed for three children. There were no violations of the licensing standards observed. Lunch was observed to meet the USDA guidelines and consisted of diced chicken, macaroni and cheese, broccoli, pears, and milk. All interactions between staff and children were age appropriate and positive. Some items observed and reviewed included: emergency, lockdown, and shelter-in-place drills, water temperature, required posted information, diaper ointments along with parent authorizations, injury reports, dates of updated injury prevention plan and emergency preparedness plan, lunch, choice time, transitions, infant care, infant feeding, diapering procedures, hand washing and bathroom procedures, and nap time. Please contact your licensing inspector, Diann Reed, if you have questions concerning this inspection, the licensing standards, and/or if I may be of assistance to you (540) 280-0742.
