Licensing Inspector arrived at 9:50 and departed at 11:15 AM to conduct an initial inspection. At the time of the inspection, there were no children in care. All areas of the facility were inspected and measurements were verified. A conditional (six-month) license for 39 children ages infant through 12 years will be recommended. Before the license can be recommended or issued, we need the following documents: - Insurance certificate with facility address and amounts of insurance - Proof that someone who will be at the facility at all times has current CPR and First Aid
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-270-A Description: Based on inspection of the physical plant, it was determined that the facility did not ensure that all areas of the facility were clean and safe. Evidence: 1. There were large areas of the cinder-block wall on the playground that had areas of peeling plaster and peeling paint that could easily be flaked off the wall. Additionally, there some areas of moss growing out of the wall which was damaging the wall further. 2. There was at least on pile of plaster/paint on the playground surface where children could access it. Plan of Correction: Facility owner will contact the landlord to have the wall repaired.
