Consultation was given pn proposed regulation changes and pre-service training.
An unannounced monitoring visit was conducted today from 9:50-11:15. All rooms were in ratio with direct care staff. Observed children in Montessori activities using supplies and equipment to support the curriculum. Lunch served today was hamburgers, beans, bread, and milk. Emergency preparation, drills, trainings and a sample of children's records were reviewed. Physical space is well maintained and has ample amount of materials. Standard #: 22VAC40-185-510-E Description: Based on observation, one of nine medications was not labeled with the child's name. Evidence: An over the counter (OTC) medication for child #1 was unlabeled and did not have the child's name on the medication or the ziplock bag. Plan of Correction: The OTC medication was labeled during the inspection.
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-550-E Description: Based on center log, documentation of an evacuation drill was not maintained. Evidence: No evacuation drill was listed on the log for the month of February 2019. Plan of Correction: Documentation was added during the inspection.
